Boostifai Free is a Chrome extension made by Boostifai, part of Webshopcompany Commv, based in Belgium. It checks the SEO of the page you are looking at and shows how much of that page AI tools can read. This policy explains what the extension does with data. It only covers the extension. Our website and paid services are covered by our main privacy policy.
The short version
Boostifai Free does not collect, sell or share any of your data, and it does not send anything to Boostifai. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Everything happens inside your browser.
What the extension reads
When you click the Boostifai Free button, the extension reads the page in your current tab so it can show you the report. This includes:
- The page title, meta tags, headings, images, links and structured data
- The main text of the page, to count words and compare it with what AI tools can see
It only reads the tab you clicked the button on, and only at that moment. It does not run in the background and cannot see your other tabs or your browsing history.
Network requests
To check what AI tools see, the extension downloads two things from the website you are already on:
- The same page again, without your cookies, the way a search engine or AI crawler would get it
- That website's public robots.txt file
If the page has a social sharing image, the extension loads that image to show a preview and check its size. These requests only go to the website you are viewing and the place it hosts its images. Nothing is sent to Boostifai or to anyone else.
What is stored
The last report for each tab is kept in Chrome's session storage, so reopening the extension on the same page is instant. This stays on your device and is cleared automatically when you close Chrome.
Links you choose to open
The Schema tab has a link to Google's Rich Results Test. If you click it, Google receives the address of the page you are testing. This only happens when you click the link.
Permissions
- activeTab: lets the extension read the current tab, only after you click its button
- scripting: runs a read-only check on that page to collect the report data
- storage: keeps the last report per tab until you close Chrome
Your rights
Because the extension does not send us any data, we hold nothing about you from using it. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
